This is a new home, finished in June, 2014. It has 1800 sq ft with porches front and back. The area around our home is quiet and really laid back. You won't hear much out of the closest neighbors,(100 yards or more away) if anything. The concrete front porch is cool and shaded most of the time. There might be 4 or 5 cars drive by each day. Pretty private place. Yet only 15-20 minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants, marinas, etc.. Or about 2 minutes from being in the lake at Cove Creek Recreation Area. We have a nice fire pit you can gather around and make s'mores or more. You won't need to bring your wood. There will be plenty nearby. If you have younger kids who need to burn off energy, you are welcome to romp around on 12 acres that are part of our property here. The Lookout is a quaint luxury lake cabin at the private end of Hwy 336 in Clinton, AR. If you are looking for a premium, clean and affordable accomodation you have found us! This cabin is perfect for families traveling to the area for events, fishing, hiking, kayaking, tubing, swimming or just relaxing in the beautiful Greers Ferry Lake. We have a short walking trail that meanders down to the lake where you can swim, fish or kayak in the cove. The Lookout Cabin also features a covered front porch with plenty of seating for our guests. Amenities include a hot tub, kayak, charcoal grill, a picnic table and a fire pit for roasting hot dogs and making s'mores (our favorite treat!) Our cabin is fully furnished and stocked. The Hide Out at 5735 Lake Drive, Clinton, AR 72031is a private 2 story custom built cabin that is perfect for a romantic getaway; family gathering, retreat or just relaxing with a group of friends any time of the year. Enjoy your morning coffee as well as the view of Greer's Ferry Lake from our wrap around deck. Grill up a juicy steak on our Charcoal Grill or if you prefer you can use our 3' Rotisserie for the best Ribs! Our property is located on the South end of Greer's Ferry Lake just across from Ferguson's Choctaw Marina. Just follow the walking path down to the lake where you may swim or fish in the cove. (Note: our boat dock is only accessible for boaters. Please fish and swim from the bank. We apologize for any inconvenience.) Spend the day swimming, fishing, boating, skiing, inner tubing or cliff jumping. If you are here in the Fall/Winter you may enjoy roasting hot dogs and smores around the fire pit and relaxing in our private Hot Tub. The Hide Out sleeps 12 comfortably and 2 additional guest may be accommodated on a sleeper sofa. The beds are all very comfortable! Upstairs features a large master bath and we have 2 full baths down stairs. A deposit is required when booked to hold the reservation which includes the damage deposit. $500 of the deposit converts to a security/damage deposit upon your arrival and is fully refundable within 7 days of departure, provided you have followed the cabin's rental rules and regulations posted. An advance payment of 50% of the rental rate is required 30 days before arrival. The balance of rent is due 15 days before arrival. This 5400 sq. ft. home custom built in 2010 by the current owners has 6 BR & 3-1/2 baths and just about has it all. And the home is handicapped accessible. The home is on four acres sitting approximately 40’ above the lake level. So, the views are impressive and so is the privacy. The home is located near the end of the street. There is a lighted stone stairway to the shale/pebble beach where you can easily shore dock your boat. Or for those who do not want to walk to the water there is a paved neighborhood boat ramp with parking 1.5 miles away. For those who do not own a boat, Lacey’s Marina & several other marinas on the lake rent pontoon boats & wave runners. Provided with the rental is use of a (3) 1-man & (1) 2-man kayaks & 1-standup paddle board with life preservers on the beach for exploring & fishing. The Den, Kitchen & Dining are all in one “common” open area with a small porch to watch the “world goes by” or read one of the hundred classics that are available. The den has (3) sitting areas. One being a table that 4-5 people can dine or play a friendly game of cards or one of the several board games available. This area has front row seats to the (4) LARGE windows that overlooks the woods & the lake. Another is the sitting area around the fire place. And the last area is where you have (2) full size coaches & a 2-person lazy boy lounger in front of 54” 4K television. Also, there is a wet bar in the room. The dining area has a formal table with seating for ten. And right off the dining room is a bar that separates the kitchen from the den & dining room that has seating for six people. The kitchen has about anything a cook would want. Full-size double ovens, a gas cook top with 4-burners and a 24” griddle, a warming drawer, microwave, large refrigerator, trash compactor, double bowl sink with disposal, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig & drip coffee makers and a prep island with its own sink and seating for two. The kitchen is fully stocked with toaster, food processor, Vita Mix blender, (2) slow cookers, pots, pans, numerous casserole dishes, 24-3 place melamine dinnerware, plastic & glass tumblers, wine glasses, flour, sugar, salt, pepper, 24+ spices, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, food storage bags, & more. The room behind the kitchen is the “butler’s” pantry. This has another full-size refrigerator/freezer, plenty of shelving room for the “dry” items, another double sink with disposal and dishwasher, a 100 lbs./day commercial ice maker and & full-size washer/dryer. Also, on the top floor are the master suite & (2) bedrooms. The master suite with its own bathroom with a no barrier walk-in shower area, a large dressing area where an available inflatable queen mattress can also be placed and still plenty of area for clothes & dressing. The master suite also has a fireplace, entrance to the lakeside porch and views of the lake and forest area. Also the master suite has a large dressing room where a queen air mattress is located with sheets & blankets. The second bedroom has an office area with (2) desks and a queen mattress. The third bedroom has a king size bed and bathroom and shower. Now let’s us go to the lower level via spiral staircase or (4) person elevator. The elevator offers the obvious convenience of moving groceries & other items from the 2-car garage to the main level. The lower level has a main room that has a sitting area with a 48” plasma TV, dining area for (6) or more, a wet bar and an under counter refrigerator. The main lower room connects with the large downstairs porch with its own outdoor fire place and a (6) person hot tub. The lower level has three bedrooms. One has (2) twin beds and the other bedroom has a double bed and a 10" memory foam queen mattress.. The 3rd bedroom is also an exercise room with an elliptical and a weight machine. A 10" memory foam queen mattress is in this room. On this level it has a “jack & Jill” bathroom. That is two ½ baths “share” a tub/shower area. Also available is a pac-n-play crib, high chair, and a "gate" to block the stairwell for the little guests. Also please note that (6) couples can have their own rooms, but there are enough beds, all with linens & pillows, to accommodate 16 people. The home is fully stocked with towels, linens, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets and bar soap. Also, there is a large gas grill and a 48” wood smoker. Each bedroom is equipped with their own TV with Satellite TV. Also there is free internet access & Wi-Fi throughout the home. The home is in a DRY COUNTY. There are several restaurants located in Heber Springs and nearby within a 30-minute drive. Some of these establishments serve alcohol; call before for further information. Also, there are several golf courses near by Indian Hills & Mtn. Ranch. There is also tennis at these locations. The neighborhood road is lovely to walk as there are only approximately 40 homes on a 2.5-mile walk. Of these, less than 12 of the homes are full time residents. Nearby there is the state Cherokee Wildlife Management Area that is 62,000 acres and plenty of trails to explore. There are numerous fishing guides on the lake & also on Little Red River. The Little Red is renowned for its fly fishing, Please note that the home is for sale. It has been on the market since 1st half of 2018. As of the end of January we only have had less than 10 "lookers". We do not foresee that it will be sold we wanted our guests to know the status of the home.
